Coronavirus detected at a Nanjing warehouse storing imported goods transported by FedEx

Samples taken from the floor of an imported goods warehouse in Nanjing of East China's Jiangsu Province returned positive nucleic acid test results for the novel coronavirus in a regular inspection on Wednesday, Nanjing authority announced Thursday.

The warehouse, located in Jiangbei New Area, stores imported products transported by FedEx, a US carrier.

Epidemic control measures have been taken to curb infection risks. The warehouse and goods in it have been sealed, and transport vehicles heading in and out of the warehouse have been suspended. 

So far, 91 direct contacts and close contacts have been identified, who have been put into quarantine for medical observation and nucleic acid tests.

Employees of the Nanjing company and their families, 3,067 people in total, returned negative nucleic acid test results, the authority said.
