A policeman in South China's Guangdong Province shot another policeman before attempting suicide on Sun; an investigation is underway and both of them are in hospital.
A 40-year-old policeman surnamed Xu from the public security bureau in Xuwen county of Zhanjiang city in Guangdong shot another 46-year-old policeman surnamed Wu before attempting to commit suicide around 5:40 pm on Sunday, the local public security authority announced Monday.
Both of them are currently receiving treatment in hospital.
A joint investigation team set up by Zhanjiang city's public security bureau has started an investigation in Xuwen, and the authority will release related information in a timely manner.
