“China congratulates Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala on her appointment as the new director-general of the WTO,” says an official from China’s commerce ministry on Monday, adding that Dr. Iweala owns rich experiences in managing international organizations.
"China will firmly support multilateral trading system, actively participate in WTO reform, support the new director-general’s work, so that WTO will make greater contributions to improving the global governance and improving well-being of the world", said the ministry official.
