The 2020 U.S. Election Day kicked off on Tuesday as voting enters the last stretch in a battle between incumbent President Donald Trump and his Democratic challenger Joe Biden.

Registered voters in Dixville Notch, New Hampshire, were the first to cast their ballots on Election Day. The community continued its tradition of midnight voting in the presidential election.

Millions of Americans have already voted amid the COVID-19 pandemic in a record early turnout ahead of Tuesday, as surging new infections continue to wreak havoc across the country.
